Description
The Iraqi Ministry of Defence is looking for a UK company to deliver the Rehabilitation of the Air Base located at Nineveh Province, sub-district of Mosul District in northern Iraq. The project is listed in the Iraqi federal budget. It is a turnkey UKEF backed project divided into two phases as follows:
The Iraqi Ministry of Defence is seeking a UK company to deliver the rehabilitation of an air base in Nineveh Province, sub-district of Mosul in northern Iraq.
The project is listed in the Iraqi federal budget and is backed by UK Export Finance (UKEF).
It will be delivered as a turnkey project in two phases:
• Phase 1 will deliver the military runway, air traffic control tower, power supply and major civil engineering work
• Phase 2 will deliver accommodation, hangars, maintenance buildings, civil runway and other civil works
Competitors have included companies from France, South Korea, China and Qatar. The selected company and its partners must pass due diligence by UKEF and the financing bank.
